Night Chap.1

After reading the first chapter, I realized how much fear these attacks brought to my Jewish ancestors. Elie Wiesel tells us his fear of being stolen away from his family, which includes his mother, father and seven year old sister. His details showed me his fear, especially when he said he could not fall asleep the night before they were leaving to go to the ghettos. I learned in this chapter to never lose faith in yourself, God, or the people around you. The Jews were staying positive in an extremely horrifying situation. Not knowing where they would end up, the Jews marched to the camps being disrespected and harassed by the Hungarian police. Elie Wiesel has me on the edge of my seat in the first chapter. Hopefully I will stay tuned and enjoy the rest of his adventure.
